Everybody in and out of Zolder was waiting with big excitement for the first race weekend of the Belcar Endurance Championship. As the supporting series of the second DTM race this year we had a slightly different race program.
Instead of one 3 hour race, we had on Saturday and Sunday 1 hour races both days. To keep it short, the luck was not on our side this weekend.
Our car – Saker RapX – got a stronger engine than last year and also some other upgrades were made on the the vehicle. This year we started the season with 385 HP, last year we had around 300 HP. The car weights 900 kg.
The first race we started from P1. After my team mate Joël Uylenbroeck did his stint, I jumped into the car. But the car didn’t start. A sensor was broken. We did not finish the race.
Race 2: wet race. We started from P1. My team mate Alex Cascatau did the first 40 minutes of the race. The bad timing of our pit stop was dropping us back to P4.
Onto the next one!
